Am I going to cluck like a chicken?
No and hypnosis is almost certainly not what you think it is.
Hypnosis is simply deep relaxation- where the subconscious mind is open to suggestion. It is a natural state to enter into and you cannot be controlled by the person who is using hypnosis.
Relaxation is the easiest way to deal with tension, stress, and pain, helping you to deal with any discomfort.
Will it work for me?
We all go in and out of hypnosis naturally on a regular daily basis, when we’re absorbed in a good film or reading a good book, for example. It is simply a state of deep relaxation, you are fully in control and awake. You’ll always be aware of what is happening to you, and around you.
Jane will teach you simple but effective relaxation techniques, using hypnosis, to release any fears or worries you may have and help you prepare for a calm and comfortable birth.
